Hey guys, was wondering what your favorite portfolio sites are?
Anybody know how I can get the footer effect on Darrin Higgins page? Is it parallax? Something else? A name or tutorial would be helpful. Thanks.
Looking at the source. What he did is:
"#page-body-wrapper" wraps the main scrollable content and has a big 425px margin-bottom. Also, it has "position: relative" and "z-index: 2" to position it in front of the footer.
He then added "position: fixed" to the "#page-footer-wrapper" element and added "bottom: 0" to set it to the bottom of the page. The footer is about 425px high which corresponds to the margin on #page-body-wrapper.
I haven't tested this but that's how it should work.
Could be fixed content at the bottom of the page, and a margin on the actual content. It then always scrolls in the background and 'appears' as the content ends. I haven't checked the source though.
EDIT: looks like Will and I posted at the same time :)
It is really easy. Will M. described it perfectly, and here's a codepen I just made for you.
Mine are all here :-)
PS. Great work with SiteInspire!

To be clarify, do you mean a publishing platform to host portfolio's on like Squarespace or Cargo? Or actual portfolio's?
