This is funny, but he makes it seem like there are tons of mail apps out right now. There may be a ton of mocks on dribbble, but outside of mailbox there hasn't been a "hyped" indie mail app actually released since sparrow.
(I'd love to be proved wrong on this- maybe I'm just somehow missing them.)

It is not trash talk, things gets dramatic when you interpret them that way instead of a joke. I think this is funny. Mailboxapp is great!
