You beat me to it! Nice :)
Aw gnats. I diverged along similar lines. Missed yours. Nice one.
Ugh, well played.
+1 internet
Did you fell asleep?
Nah, it's my Dad in a meditative state as he tries to tie a tiny fishing knot with his not tiny fingers.
I don't get it :/
You mustn't be from the eighties!

Mine is empty. No icons :) I use Alfred to launch the apps and try to keep the dock as clean as possible.
I use alfred too, it's fantastic.
Same here, I have a few icons on my dock, rarely use it.
And then. A wild windows user appeared.
Ubuntu?
Nope, that's way too mainstream. Real hipsters use Arch GNU/Linux :D
What's the "S" icon? Sublime?
"Slack", group chat.
My docks too big
Currently:
But when I don't have anything open:
I use Alfred to launch everything.
I love having an empty dock before and after work, and I also use Afred for everything. To make it even easier, I have workflows set up to launch all the apps and terminal commands depending on the type of project that I'm doing.
Oh man, that's brilliant. I should do that.
dat divider line T_T
What's wrong with the divider line?
The perspective?? The line should be more or less vertical in this case, but instead it's more or less the same angle as the right edge, even though it's really close to the left edge.
Quick question, but what advantages does Alfred have to offer? I tried using it, but for me it seems just as fast to launch apps via Spotlight.
Edit: I accidentally a typo.
Here's a little protip; as with this setup your indicator lights don't add any information.
Nice. Thanks!
wat is computer
I like your iOS style. You did it yourself or you got somewhere?
i use windows 8.1
What's your start menu look like then?
*Start Screen
haven't used the start menu in months. it's basically a like Launchpad for you Mac folks, but with resizeable widgets.
my taskbar looks like this:
I'm willing to bet that non-flat Finder icon bugs you.
but not the Flint one? :P
Is that just a flat replacement icon for Spotify?
The right end icon....Sketch 3 ???
Nope. Sketch 3 has the same icon, that's just a replacement icon.
Nope. Update your Sketch Beta :D
Yes, indeed! Just saw it today :)
Sorry for my mistaken post, it is, in fact, the icon for Sketch 3.
What's the Soundcloud app? Or that orange icon?
No dock :) Just Alfred.
A bit off topic, but somewhat related, what's the best way to change icons on OSX? Some of these icons look way better than the stock ones.
Here's my dock:
@Joe thank you!
I keep it hidden though.
Mine is very simple because I use Alfred to launch most of the stuff.
Here's mine
I think I should clean it
Previously I was Windows user, but not so long ago decided to try something new and now I'm so happy with my decision.
Keep it stock, boring and simple. : ) http://cl.ly/image/0W0o1S1r1n2D
Interesting almost nobody here's using spaces to organise stuff http://css-tricks.com/snippets/html/add-spaces-to-dock-in-os-x/
Ohhh, dock.
A lot of stuff in mine...
You've got an Analytics Mac app?
No, it's just a [Fluid](Readmill User Data Export) app. Same for the 2 Nest apps.
I have a habit of grouping things: http://i.imgur.com/XSEABHL.jpg
How do you do that?
Run this command on your Terminal to add a new empty space on your dock:
defaults write com.apple.dock persistent-apps -array-add '{"tile-type"="spacer-tile";}'
Then you just have to restart your dock:
killall Dock
You can run the first command as many times as you want, then you can just rearrange those empty spaces.
Thanks for the reply :D
Using the Creative Sense 2.0 icons, because I simply don't like the blocks with letters for Adobe.
Whoops link fail. Alfred ftw!
What's the pancake server thingy?
Database manager http://www.sequelpro.com/
Sequel Pro.
Is that just a replacement icon for Messages, or some other app?
That's Hipchat.
What is that email app? (blue circular icon)
Icon looks like Telegram.
I don't think that's an email app. Looks like Telegram.
Yes sir you are correct.
That's a Telegram client for desktop. :)
Absolutely right.
