Some Metro concepts, and some wonderful animations! It looks really fluid and intuitive.

Marcus is a talented nice guy – he also recently did a curtain animation: http://dribbble.com/shots/1467386-Curtain-effect-on-Meek

If you haven't seen Marcus' other work, check it out. This video is one of my favorites. Pretty amazing for someone to be so innovative in so many fields (animation, 3D, UI, typography, programming, etc).

I feel that many of the animations, while being fluid and well done, do very little to add to the user experience, and are just being fancy for the sake of fancy. Most prominently the login, I don't see how masking the content into the login box adds any intuition to what's happening. That being said, I really like the scrubber for the video, that does add intuition and reacts very satisfyingly to the users interaction. But another thing that bothers me is that the easing is a bit heavy on some of the card flip animations, just feels a bit off when many of the other animations are very smooth.

Good stuff! I love the login/register page-flip style stuff especially.

Thanks for sharing this in high-fidelity on YouTube rather than just some under-representative GIFs on Dribbble :)

Marcus is an inspiring guy. As someone just starting to work in javascript animations, he is setting the bar really really high in terms of quality and code elegance.

Those are really great interactions. I really enjoyed the subtle movements of the scrubber knob. Some really inspirational stuff here.
