What are some of your favorite free and well-designed IRC clients: desktop, online, and mobile?
Lingo. On the Mac App Store for free.
Link for those interested. Just trying it out, and liking it so far. http://www.lingoirc.com
looks like it's down :(
Thanks—I already requested and got an invite :).
I used to use Linkinus, and then after that, I used Textual. Textual was by far my favorite client, but deep down I yearned for something more minimal... more like mIRC from my Windows days. (Ed. note: these aren't free. You'll be hard-pressed, I think, to find a well-designed & free IRC client.)
Currently, I use irssi with a ZNC bouncer. Open source, free, and as minimal as it gets. Runs right in the terminal. :)
I love irssi.
I am currently working on building a web based IRC client: https://github.com/thedjpetersen/subway .
Adium is very customizable. I like it a lot.
I prefer Colloquy for iOS and Mac.
about Komanda ?
I'm currently using Colloquy, but I think Adium is nice as well.
I'm using LimeChat. I love the old school interface.
It's a Chrome app, but CIRC is really great.
Used to use colloquy, now i just use a web client.
I use BitchX, on the terminal. Sorry I'm so Oldskool (and older as hell :D)
It's not free on mobile, but LimeChat is pretty neat. I use it both on my iPhone and Mac.
