Its good to see I'm not the only one who likes doing UI design in Illustrator. I thought I might be going crazy.
I've been a huge Illustrator fan for web/app work my whole career. It was annoying how people would scoff at me. And also a bit annoying that everybody talks about all the awesome features that Sketch has and why it's better than photoshop. Everytime I read an article, I'm like "Yea, Illustrator has had that forever!"
I wrote this article, and this is exactly the reason I've finally pushed myself to do it! I see all these tweets and articles enthousiastic about sketch, and it seems that everybody forgot that Illustrator do it already, and have far more. Not talking about Sketch unstable behavior... It's a promising app, but still in his infancy.
I accidentally stumbled into doing it. I was working on wireframes for a project and was about to go into photoshop when I realized I really didn't need to.
I was going crazy on here with all this photoshop and sketch talk! The speed and flexibility illustrator allows puts it into a different league for me. Love the little tips. Nice work.
Lot's of awesome little tricks. Just a few more reasons why Illustrator is awesome. ;)
This is awesome, thanks for sharing! Will definitely use some these tips the next time I wireframe.
