Hey DN, my friend and I made this a couple of years ago and recently decided to remake it. We thought there was something in having a place online where you can upload messages/images and you know they'll be deleted at source. The internet is getting more permanent so we thought why not make it slightly less so. Anyway... Please have a click around and it'd be great to have feedback! (I designed & front-endeded it)
This is pretty neat! As people have noted there's not much you can do about people still finding ways to share this stuff but it's a super neat idea and I don't think that kills it at all. I pitched it's use in a meeting today for social/promo purposes. Discount codes for the first "x" customers, etc. It was deemed to edgy for us, which I expected - but it was still fun to share! Also I sent a flirtatious message to a coworker at great personal risk so I've changed my mind this website is a terrible idea! :3
Hey Sean! That's exactly why we gave it the limited views option. Shame it felt too edgy for now. Maybe one day... !
really cool, great transitions and minimal UI!
Also loved the UI, colors that doesn't hurt eyes and smooth transitions are awesome!
I wish there was a countdown timer when viewing the message. But otherwise, pretty dope!
Dawg. you where ephemeral before ephemeral was cool!
Now that's a very interesting work! its like snap chat for browsers!
What stops someone from doing a screenshot on this? Or is it meant to be just more for fun?
Yeah that's kind of it... more just for fun and for stuff that people don't really have in interest in screenshotting. We'd like to make it as hard as possible for normal users to screenshot it though as a future thing.
awesome. slick design. nice interactions.
