Currently looking for a few a simple, easy to use, and well designed app for creating product roadmaps. Tried out "Aha!" but it involved way too much time figuring out how to properly use the product.
+1 for Trello!
Also, check out www.pivotaltracker.com - great for scrum projects.
Most of the times, a well organised whiteboard can do wonders! Or just use a google spreadsheet :)
Here's a great Trello workflow for roadmaps and execution: https://community.uservoice.com/blog/trello-google-docs-product-management/
We sometimes use http://teamgantt.com/ to schedule large projects and show dependancies. Otherwise we use Trello to plan day to day.
+1 for Trello, as well
Sprintly is great for feature/function tracking, if you want to get super granular
I've used Asana with some success, as well.
Google Docs for LT and a whiteboard for sprints.
We're using Asana at the moment and using sections to separate stuff and assign to people at different stages (I.e feature gets assigned to me first to design, then it goes to front-end dev, the assigned to Backend when ready, then assigned back to me to test)
We use and like Trello, usually a different board for each milestone, but it depends. Often find ourselves spread across Trello, old Basecamp accounts we forget to use. Basecamp is the best for managing files, but the interface isn't that streamlined and the way it separates projects isn't the most cohesive. Still great though.
Check out Updatey. This one is really simple and seems to be just what you are looking for, a high-level roadmap with checklist support and presented pretty nicely visually. We don't use it daily (yet) but did make an account and seems to be a good solution. This + Trello is gold.
Oh! NICE! Thanks for this. Will check it out.
I actually strongly dislike trello haha. I'm looking for something with visual progress and labels. To show what milestones, within design/biz/development/etc. is happening and when.
and Trello boards for bugs...
I use Slack to manage all my projects outside of Google.
Not sure if this is what you are looking for. But have you tried http://www.podio.com ?
I just use task lists in Basecamp.
