Would be even cooler if you added a 'cancel loading' button (X icon for example) next to it for people that just want to visit the footer of the website (if it had any). Optional: cancel automatically if you detect multiple scrolls when the user is already on the bottom of the site.
Noted - thanks :)
This seems to defeat the purpose of infinite scrolling where you don't need to stare at a loading bar or click a next button.
But it's also a way to let the world know that there's infinite scrolling involved which you easily trigger or cancel it.
Why not start downloading new content when the user is, let's say, in the middle of the last content block, so when he reaches the bottom he doesn't have to wait?
Another great idea/option.
Thanks, noted :)
Would be cool if it would fill faster while nearing the bottom of the page.
Yes, that's the thing I wanted to do if I had some extra free time.
Maybe later :)
(proof of concept)
The button acts both as a button and as a progress bar.
The more you stay sticked to the bottom, the more it fills and when it's done iteration takes place.
