Before Slack there is Hipchat.
So Slack is to Glitch as Instagram is to Burbn? That's a pretty bold claim since Slack seems to offer no real benefits over similar messaging platforms like HipChat.
One very real benefit over HipChat is a free plan with unlimited users (limitations are placed on archive size and integrations instead).
Slack is pretty darn easy.
Slack is a stronger reading (ergo messaging) experience because of how well they execute typography and embedding from external integrations.
Only pet peeve: timestamps in the "Clean" display setting feel cluttered by being left-aligned next to the sender name.
We use it here at SHIFT. It’s nice :)
We've been using Slack the past week at The App Business and it's been great for sharing links and articles as well as team group chats...looking forward to integrating it with some of the other services available.
