We're going to have a big animation project coming soon, so we tested out the Adobe Edge Animation tool. Looking pretty nifty :P

    What do you think?

Check it out like over here: http://demos.aerolabdigital.com/animation/edge/test.html

This looks pretty cool! Did you make it all with elements inside edge animate or did you bring in your on images?

I really enjoy making animations and interactions in edge animate, it's great for quickly getting your idea across to a developer. My biggest frustration with it is that you can't fine-tune the easing options.

Really well-done. I especially like those eases. Were these DOM objects you made in Edge Animate, or images/SVGs?

It looks like they're all images.

          Hey Guys!

They were all done previously in photoshop with vector elements. At first we exported everything as an image due to size/loading times. Next animation I'll try to use svg, so we can compare sizes and loading times, see what's better.

I find it really hard to create something inside edge animate! Everything was done in photoshop like I said before, the yellow line that scans was done inside animate, since it's a very simple shape.

@Joe B. I think you have a lot of easing options you can try out, what do you mean by "fine tune"?

There are a lot of options but they're all canned. I'd like to be able to create my own bezier curve.

Side note: I was looking more closely at your animation and I think it could be built entirely inside edge animate with css shapes, but it would be pretty messy.

Yep! I think you will be able to build it since it's all flat and not so complex.

I think adobe will add that feature soon!
