Sarah has gotten very good at marketing herself.

A year ago, I hadn't heard of her. Seems like she is everywhere now. Still haven't seen any of her work.

Have my appreciation for saying this out loud.

Hi Aaron: I've heard her mention in interviews that a lot of her work is NDA'ed, but it appears that she's worked with some very big brands over the last ten years.

I sense in your comment that you feel her fame is disproportional to her work. People in the our industry must realize they have to market themselves through speaking, podcasting, writing, teaching, or whatever else they must do. The vast majority of big web names are ten-year (or longer) overnight successes.

We cannot just do great design work, we have to teach and share with others as well to get that larger visibility.

Actually, I was more impressed than anything else....

I put her in the ranks of Dustin Curtis (another Internet-famous dude of whom I've never seen any work... or his face for that matter).

I'm curious about a couple of things:

        1. How these people have the time to build internet fame and still pay the bills.

          1. Whether this was a conscious strategy, or something that came by happenstance that they then just ran with.
