Call for help from designers from EFF, Demand Progress, Internet Activists

over 6 years ago from , Designing for Activism

January is the anniversary of both Aaron Swartz's death, and the SOPA blackout. In memory of Aaron, and the SOPA blackout, a bunch of activists have been planning a day of action against mass surveillance.

I'm in charge of developing the website (along with the rest of taskforce.is), but we quite urgently need help with the design. We plan to launch on Thursday, but the designs that we have (that I made - and I'm not much of a designer - aren't up to scratch).

If you have some time today, we'd love your help making the design more compelling.

Take a look at what I have: - V1: - page1: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3155588/home-v2-pg1-c.jpg - page2: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3155588/home-v2.1-pg2.jpg - poorly organized psd: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cemb2fxs5d7cf7e/home-vd.psd - V2: - jpg:https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3155588/home-v3.jpg - psd: https://www.dropbox.com/s/u1vi7w6k06ytv2u/home-v2.psd

Ideally we need designs in by late tonight. I know there are a ton of talented designers out there, if you have some time, take a couple of hours and clean our design up? If we use your design, we'll make sure to give you credit.

And if you don't have time now, but are interested in helping with this kind of project, please please join us (http://taskforce.is). We have all sorts of developers but a dire shortage of designers.
