Nice to see some Node friendliness going on here. Just jused https://github.com/andrew/node-sass in the most recent project I've been working on - But might give Roole a try in the future.

Looks great. The more tools like this, the better. I'm not sure what this does that SASS and LESS don't do though?

The biggest difference with Roole is, by far, the fact that it seems to be a dynamic language and not simply a declarative language. As a developer, this is appealing to me.

What do you mean by dynamic as opposed to declarative?

Ah whoops... I didn't realize that SASS has support for all the stuff Roole has already. I've used LESS more in the past. I had the declarative way LESS creates mixins in mind.

Interesting. Seems like an extension of Less but more like coffeescript. A lot more macroing and usage of whitespace and the reduction of syntax. Not sure if it would replace Less or not. Would have to try it.

Why not just fork the LESS/SASS source? Creating an entirely new project just to add vendor prefixing (which has been done) seems like reinventing the wheel.
