I just published a blog post with my wishlist for this holiday season and was wondering what you guys have in your list.
I wont get any presents, but I might buy myself some of these books that I don't already own: http://www.minimallyminimal.com/blog/books-01
These are on my list as well.
Fujifilm X100S and an Ipad Air are the only things on my list. I'm a bit tapped and just stuck salivating over the ads, reviews and product pages.
Edit: I also forgot about how many books I have on my amazon wishlist.
Pretty much the same items for me as well. Although I'm torn between getting the X100S or pony up extra cash for a full frame mirrorless Sony A7. I've been planning on buying the Fuji since last year when X100 came out but the A7 made the decision a little tricky.
Ahh yeah, had a look at that, too. What's really selling me on the X100s is the old school Leica look.
Yea the A7 is no beauty like X100S or even the RX1. Gah they should have priced the RX1 same as A7, then my choice would have been easier. Will probably end up getting the X100s due to the looks, portability, and just being an awesome camera.
Yup, that was my conclusion as well. Andrew Kim's RX1 is a beaut though with his accessories.
Not celebrating Xmas, however after my iPad Mini Retina arrived two weeks ago, I have only these left on my personal wish list for 2013:
Two of these to repair my broken AR Drone - http://www.amazon.com/Parrot-Drone-2-0-Motor-Controller/dp/B007HZLM9O -
Sharks. With frickin' laser beams.
Some nice new over-ear headphones are on my list. Does anyone have suggestions for a brand/model they like? My old Bose have seen their last days.
I love my ATH-M50s. Great bass, but not too overpowering. They give a very rich sound to whatever I'm listening to (be it rock, classical, dubstep, or a podcast). They also have very comfortable padding and aren't too tight on the head which is great for long hackathons or night shifts.
Thanks for the recommendation. They look nice and comfort is super important for me for all those long coding sessions.
It's either Sony MDR-7506 or Audio Technica ATH-M50 :)
Beyerdynamics T90 if you have more money and would like something open.
Shure SRH-940s are pretty great, but as a former employee I'm slightly biased.
Also a fan of the AKG Q series, or some Grados if you're on a budget.
Sennheiser HD280 are very hard to beat, especially when they retail for only $100.
I saw "Devin H." and went, Wait, I don't remember writing this!.
Hi, other Devin H.!
A similar though when through my head when I saw your comment. Hello!
AIAIAI TMA-1 studio version
I noticed you had the Code Keyboard on there. I wanted one as well and was so disappointed when they sold out. I got myself a Ducky Shine 3 which has the same switches and backlighting. Apparently, if you get the white one you can buy little stickies to go on the LEDs and make all sorts of colorful designs. http://www.reddit.com/r/mechanicalkeyboards has a ton of keyboard nuts that know way more about the subject than I do. That said, I love my Ducky.
