It feels like they raided a bunch of design trends from the last two years and blended them together. It’s actually pretty neat. Not sure it actually aligns with my experience with the dark pattern sales thirst of the actual app.

    But good work.

Ah, the classic "Please forget all our past transgressions and see how cool and hip we are now" rebrand.

On a serious note, despite loving a branding, I'm far more interested to see how their services and internal culture change rather than what suit they're wearing.

The best rebrand would be a huge pile of shit for "godaddy". Because that's exactly what their company ethos and moral is. Not only do they keep using sexist advertisment, cheap engergy from coal, but also their CEOs are known for hunting endangered animals in Africa. (google "godaddy ceo poacher"). Quite a few godaddy employees here that must have upvoted this crap.

My dude, that CEO left over 7 years ago.

"my dude", the culture that was there formed over decades is still in place. Dont be so naive to think a simple rebrand would change any of this. Same investors, same people in comand, only a changed front cover more in line with what the public expects nowadays from "socially responsible" tech firms.

    GoAirbnb...

...But in all seriousness, this is a good-looking rebrand. One thing that does bother me is the hard corner in the G, while the entire logo is organic and rounded. The typography is killer.

This is really stupid. Plain old stupid. If you have a distinct brand that differs greatly from everything else: stay with it.

This sacrifices uniqueness and individuality for joining the noise. It's really disappointing to see.

took me a long look to understand/see the "GO". It came across as heart or maybe Gucci Faberge Eggs. Looking so hard for a G and a D etc. Nonetheless an update that was needed but lost some personality by absorbing so much of current trends in the logo design.

I can't help but feel that the headline image of Anthony Bar on the primary https://www.godaddy.com/ home page is a really weird image for a web hosting company.

I don't hate the overall design change, but it is odd for the type of company they are.

not a single image is loading due to my (admittedly shitty) office firewall, rendering the page completely incomprehensible.

always remember fallback background colors, kids!

Looks fine. But does feel quite dull. Adhering to trends, rather than setting them.
