Emojis in website design... why??

Websites need to stop using emojis as part of the UI. In my opinion it's lazy. Just make your own icons, they'll go a long way. Custom icons can add character, charm, and personality to your UX and reinforce the brand.

But it’s trendy to have a website saying “Hi. I’m so and so and I’m a maker of bespoke works.” (hand wave emoji)

I use emojis for some of my URLs... but rarely on the actual websites themselves...
