      It actually can, even though they said it wouldn't be able to. It's sort of a partially hidden feature.

      Not sure if most users will figure it out without seeing it on the web or not.

        Yeah, just noticed that The Verge's article was updated regarding photos:

        Instagram Windows Phone users can use the app to upload photos, but they'll need to shoot photos separately using the camera as there is no direct in-app camera support.

        They don't allow videos yet though.

      It's still the beta, but Facebook did the same, they launched beta and were regularly polishing whole app by adding requested features.

        Yeah, I get that they're continuously improving, but Instagram feature set doesn't go much further than browsing stuff & adding stuff (pictures and videos), so if they don't have one of those features it's like big pieces of the puzzle are missing.

        Specially videos if they want to compete with Vimeo, for example.
