Yo I just released something similar last week. I opted not to tinker with the UI so it’s cool to see this.

I’m wondering how come the apps 59MB?

Thanks Norm! (Figmac is a brilliant name btw) I suspect the Electron packager packed more than necessary. But then the official Mac app is 54MB too so...

Thanks man, the dark mode work you did looks great, well done!

I didn’t think you used Electron, thought it was native. Still very cool.

Maybe we should join forces :)

Honest question: Does it affect performance of the app whether its 5 MB / 59 MB / 300 MB / etc? I imagine it only affects initial download time, but now I'm thinking it has more of an effect since it seems to be a big/cool selling point of Figmac (?)

Size doesn’t effect app performance. It’s takes up disk space, if you are on a laptop this may be something that bothers you, it could also be argued native component driven apps are less system intensive. The only reason I asked about size was because I initially thought the app was of native Mac construction ( and by the I mean native webview etc).

Thanks! I’ll look into it. I’m not a developer so this is new for me
