Well, 2048 was cloned half a thousand times into an app on every platform, including an iOS app that was the top free app for a few weeks.

    Definitely fair to compare, and the title/article are pretty overzealous. Personally, I played maybe 10 minutes of Threes and definitely a few hours of 2048 over the last few months.
