      I haven't downloaded the app yet, but the article is great. Agree with leaning on great things like CocoaPods, and also reading AND then just getting cracking.The magical mixture of study/doing that works well for me (or theory/practice).

      How was it making your first Swift app? Was it easy to pick up the language?

        The app wasn't developed in Swift but from what I heard, it is much easier to pick up than Objective C, which is what I used.

          I wouldn’t say that it is easier. Swift does a lot stuff behind the scenes, more than Objective-C. You still have to learn the concepts of OO programming and the Cocoa design patterns. Since the language is new and not at the first final release a lot of the Cocoa API don't feel like Swift programming and won’t for a long time.

          Don’t be fooled by the simpler looking syntax. I’d say Swift is more complex than modern Objective-C.
