For many teams, this would be an essential feature. If you're ever working on a highly visible, confidential or sensitive product, those mocks are much more than just mocks (they're product direction), and they can't be leaked.
Almost every prominent product company will require platforms like InVision to have advanced encryption before they can even get in the door. It may not be useful to you, but it's certainly not a joke feature.

This is a fair point. To me the cost for simply security was the thing that struck me as funny—since most security has to be at a base-level (tokens and signatures like JWT for example need almost 100% buy in to actually work). Fair point though.

I had a weird sales call with them this week. "Do you want to pay way more for encryption and stuff like that?"
Do we want advanced encryption for the screenshots we upload to your platform that become garbage literally the moment a feature goes to QA? SIGN. US. UPPPP!
