Yes, I totally agree with you. The main flaw I found on this design update is the considerable lack of contrast. The fact that the inactive tabs are the same colors as the frame is inconvenient. There is no visible hitbox for tabs and new tab button. So I ended up building a chrome theme for myself: github.com/dimitrinicolas/chrome-contrast-theme
