Maybe try again when you have it ready, it's hard to give someone a chance when they don't have any way of showing previous work. If not a website aleast some way of displaying your work via slides, PDF, printed?

I have a PDF portfolio I've put together when sending out applications and resumes. I suppose I should have included it in the post, although some of the work doesn't reflect where I'm trying to position myself career-wise.

My 2 cents if you are going for a UI design internship position: if you know what you want, it’s better to have one UI project, than to have five illustrations, two logo’s and a website you designed.

Post your work here, get feedback, improve and try again!

Thanks, Xavier! That pretty much aligns with all of the “how to land your first design job” medium articles I’ve read, haha.

I’ve been working on 1-2 personal user experience projects just to have something to showcase. I’ve got a few barebones UI shots on Dribbble at http://dribbble.com/cjgetty

          Thanks for the advice!

Well, Medium has a lot of bad advice, all I can tell you is that this is how I have judged portfolios over the past six years. In this case, the hype is real ;-)
