I believe most of the excitement is from the prototyping side of the application and not the actual UI design tool.
Even with the dozen or so prototyping tools out there, most of them can only do basic interactions or very difficult to use. If Studio can solve this problem at a go.. why not?
I’m also a bit skeptical about the performance of the app but since this will be a native OSX/Windows app, they’ll have more control over features and performance than webapps. The again, it’s not like Sketch is bug free.
