Zeplin now integrates with Figma(blog.zeplin.io)

To me it makes some sense from both standpoints. With more design tools becoming available (Figma, XD, and soon Studio) all these applications which are offering exclusive Sketch integrations need to branch out and support more than just Sketch. I could see companies like Flinto eventually doing the same. Framer has. Now Zeplin. From a Figma standpoint, for the same reasons they added a Sketch import, people may be on the fence because switching design tools may have a huge impact on their workflow. But if you can silently import your Sketch files, and keep your devs using what they are already using for handoff (Zeplin), then you can pretty much make the switch without impacting anything, at least in the short term. So if that was a barrier to entry…it is no longer.

That said, one of the biggest benefits to using Figma is keeping as much as possible in one place and not having to pull my artwork into another tool, which includes the commenting and devs accessing the live document.
