    Considering the size of dribbble I'm surprised that they rushed a launch... Clearly whoever was in charge didn't run this by enough members of the community.

    That being said, I think the update itself is a great idea. It aims to benefit the community at large and hopefully it does exactly that. They didn't take in to account several of important details at launch but I'm sure they'll be fixed over the upcoming weeks.

    Quite frankly I'm a bit shocked by the top .5% of users who cried out that the update didn't benefit them personally. After having the spotlight on them for so many years are they really so strapped to find work?

      Big part also come to referral fees collected. When I would get too many requests I would have a referral contract in place to receive a percentage. I couldn't imaging the amount of referrals the big agency/designers get, and how much they make for doing nothing except an intro email.
