It's not evident what the purpose of the website is at first sight. One has to hover over a few of the photos in order to piece the purpose of the website together. Furthermore, if you simply click on the first story and the one below it, you won't discover the purpose as the election isn't mentioned in those stories.
However, not all devices have hover states, namely mobile devices. Seeing "The Pussy Project" with the photos of women in that medium, with that color scheme made me actually wonder whether it was a pornography site.
And honestly, I think this site would have a larger chance of getting shared and reshared had it used a more SFW name.
