What's the point of directly going after ACTUAL people in our industry, that even though they might be eccentric, do ACTUAL good work?

It's fine to parody things some people find over the top, but people in the web design industry doesn't deserve to be personally attacked, this isn't politics and you're not the paparazzi.

    Dick move, bro.

Wat? Is Toby Von Schnitzel some ACTUAL designer who I'm too tragically unhip to be familiar with?

      It's funny and cute.

      Lighten up, bro.

Not sure if you're joking but it's actually heavily inspired by Tobias van Schneider, a designer with a magnificent beard who also released a beard oil in collaboration with a brand. But even he tweeted about the comic, so yeah, I don't really see an issue here.

I find this comment over the top, and therefore, ripe for parody.

Yes, Toby is inspired by a famous and well-loved character in the design community. But before you get your pitchforks, let me explain that I only do it out of admiration. The real one will always be someone that pushes me to be something bigger and I’m happy that I finally got to pay tribute to him. So yes, I admit it––The character Toby Von Schnitzel was obviously inspired by the very famous Heffer Wolfe. Heffer Wolfe.

TVS is eccentric? Also is anyone who does good work not allowed to be satirized?

TVS does do great work, but his self branding and writing is a bit ridiculous to the point of cliche. Is it really such a dick move to point that out in the least offensive way ever?
