    Would you recommend Digital Ocean to host personal sites/portfolios?

      I would, I am. But you need to have some dev knowledge though. Including server management as well as just front-end stuff.

      DigitalOcean gives you complete control over everything. Though you can build boxes with pre-installed software, such as a LAMP stack or Wordpress.

      Absolutely. I don't have much knowledge regarding hosting/server management outside of how to set the DNS, and I haven't had any trouble at all with DO. Their community/tutorials are top-notch as well.

      Their walk throughs are really helpful and thorough for anyone curious about delving into server management. You can has all the power.... love DO.
