"I design apps and websites"
I mean, that is what you do. Don't make it complicated. No one cares to know the difference between UI/UX or why hierarchy is important.

  I say this too, but In my experience, some people still confuse "designing" with "creating"/"coding," after which I have to give a more concise explanation.
