    Biggest issue we're feeling right now is alignment + contrast issues. Working through them 1-by-1.

    I think the upvote buttons need to be more balanced compare to the topic icons, the hierarchy of the two is not quite right. because it's repeated many times on the page it should be more subdued because once you learn it, you may not want it in your face all the time.

    Yeah, would love any suggestions you have to counter balance.

      Is this... a meta joke playing with the comment preview feature request? Because if that's the case, it's a brilliant one.

      EDIT: Formatting on Andrew's comment seemed crazy broken a few moments ago, but now I look like a lunatic, haha.

      To go deeper into this. I think the paradigm of an upvote button is pretty well established and might not need a button representation for this audience. I understand the goal of making it more obvious, but I wonder if lack of understanding was a barrier preventing people from participating in the voting. It could be cool to run an A/B test to see which design gets more engagement! I'd love to be proven wrong.
