What do you do? I have always had Macbook Pros because of their power but these days I am mostly doing Sketch vector work and programming. Not very graphics intensive.
Currently working as a CD, which I'm discovering involves as many spreadsheets as it does .PSDs, but I do all kinds of screen and print design, heavy bitmap and vector illustration, heavy photo editing, frontend coding, some video editing, some animation, some music recording and editing, some 3-D modeling, etc.
Cool, thanks. No noticeable performance issues for video, music, or 3-d modeling at 4GB?
Mm, it's noticeable—just not prohibitive. You might get a pinwheel here and there, but it's never gotten in my way.
That said, I've yet to do anything with 4k.

I'm definitely into it, but, as with others, am concerned about the processor. I don't really care about the price, given that my computer is second only to my body as the thing I use most in my life.
I've proven to myself that I can do pretty much all I need to do on a mid-2011 11" MBA with 4GB of RAM, but I was definitely hoping for more of an upgrade.
Also, gold rules.
