Microsoft Ditching IE in Windows 10(dailymail.co.uk)

    I'm taking a wait and see attitude. I work in a corporate environment and we struggle with major systems never coded to run on anything other than IE7 or IE8.

    I look forward to being able to run IE10/11 in house, but this new, rumored, browser is supposed to still run Trident, just with the capability of extensions and removing "cruft." I fear that "cruft" is backwards compatibility functions that enterprises are more likely to need.

    I'd prefer to not have a monolithic browser engine. I fear that would just be a repeat of the IE6 era with little innovation or incentive to improve de jeure standards.

    In any event, the mobile realm is where we're headed and I wonder how much of this 'new' browser is made with a mobile environment in mind. saw no mention of that in the article.
