I've worked for multiple agencies with a physical office (with a bit of working from home every now and then), and for the past year i've worked from home 100% of the time. I know I get way more work done at home vs. in an office.

I think the problem with being home for part of the week and at the office others is that you miss out on the regular "office stuff" that helps you form relationships and take part in building your company's culture. I've definitely seen people be the first to go from teams because they didn't become "part" of it, by eschewing the "time wasting" social stuff.

So I'd say if you're gonna work from home a couple days a week, be super crazy visible to the rest of the people at the office in some way or another. So they know you're still around, available, and awesome.
