What I make from this:

Learning how to use design tools, Sketch in his case, is different to creating an icon from scratch. You might have a great idea in your head, but can't create it.

Use copying others to build your technical skills, then once you have the technical skills you can push your creative side, because you have less constraints

I think these look great! Love the final image, such a simple and obvious idea, but amazing nonetheless.

I agree, if, for example, your boss was not a good manager, others might want to leave because of that. Their managers need to know this so the issue can be addressed and others don't leave as a result of nobody speaking up. People can't improve if they don't know what's really wrong.

Urbanized is actually the only one of the 3 I haven't seen yet. It's definitely on my to watch list. Sounds interesting, just from that one passage!
