I like UX Stack Exchange - https://ux.stackexchange.com/
They also have a good social platform where users need to build up 'reputation' points to do certain things on the site.
Overall people stick to topic and keep it clean.

Beautiful but not usable. This is why we have UX designers in addition to visual designers.
I also struggle with being in both Design and Development. There's so much new things come out from both spaces and yeah it is super hard to keep up. I guess it's best to ask yourself the question "why do I want to do both design AND development?" My answer is "Because I like it and I can." So yeah, do what you love. Don't get bog down by what you "should" be doing. You have one life to live. Why waste it on some silly labels?
It's about finding a community to belong to and having shared experiences. You can say whatever you want but the conference is happening so keep whining and attacking people so you can feel erect about your existence.
What do you need support in as a white male in the US? In what area are you the minority, not being represented enough or are being suppressed? If there's something you can think of then please share.
I've been to Tech and Design conferences and it's male dominated environment. Have you gone to one? Do you feel suppressed in a Tech conference? Do you feel you don't have enough male role models to represent you in those events?

Hi Linton,
I'm currently learning ReactJS at Udacity so I'm probably your target audience.
One thing I want to know is how long the course is so if you can provide a time frame, then that would help me decide whether it is the right course for me.
For example, check out https://designcode.io/. One thing that I like with this site is they provide how many learning hours you need -- like 44 hours of video lessons.
Also, I usually like to get email updates on websites I like and I notice you don't have an email subscription. Can you setup a mailing list for those who are interested but not ready to commit. Email marketing is a powerful tool.
