I enjoyed the write up. I downloaded the app. I don't really understand it.
People who want to express or promote themselves - people who are not worried about making their lives public - are going to see this as a worse version of Vine or Instagram.
People who are concerned about what is put online - your niche - aren't going to post anything truly exciting because it's completely public for a whole 24 hours with your twitter handle next to the picture and everyone knows there are ways of saving images.
The images are too small to post quality content like you would see from artists, businesses and photographers on Instagram.
As a lurker on these types of sites I kept accidentally clicking on the image wanting to see the "full" version.
It's like Snapchat without any of the good features of Snapchat, and Instagram without any of the good features of Instagram. I would love to be convinced otherwise though.
Admins should put a poll in place of the MOTD:
"Should we get rid of the MOTD?"
I can't tell if this is a joke or not. It's so easy to make a startup nowadays that some of them are approaching Poe's Law.
This reminds me of Code Babes.
You don't even need to do that. It's like three lines of JS if you're not interested in making a general solution. Just a click bind and an alert.

I'm so happy to see a redesign that is the product of logical decisions. I wish I could up vote multiple times.
