Hi there :) Try to hover over or inspect the "Explore Case", "Read more" or "Apply now" CTA's inside each of those areas with onclick events... You'll see that they are in fact href's. The bigger area simply forwards the click to this anchor tag. Reason for this is to get better SEO (which I'm guessing your critique was aimed on).
In short: Making the whole area an anchor tag doesn't make any sense in SEO or for a blind person. A CTA on the other hand...
I hope that oiled your clockwork
design hours?
Am I really the only one who's just gone into OSX and found the actual cursors in vector graphics? Now I have this folder with 41 cursors that I just use every time. If anyone want to make a library feel free, but it's pretty easy to drag and drop pdf files as well ;)

(Yes, thats what the pointing hand looks like up close... yuck)
While I agree with the overall point, this claim put me off:
There’s no way to anticipate what resolution and window size will be used to view the site, so there’s no true “fold” to identify.
What about vh and vw units? For example, It's really not hard to fix the getflywheel.com fold for any size:
.layout-image{ height: 50vh; }
.layout-slide__bg{ height: auto; min-width: 100%; min-height: 100%; }
This will fix the fold to always have part of the article title visible no matter the screen size. (on portrait 30vh is better)
This is like a nemesis to the extension I did a year ago which actually remove this kind of filth from Dribbble https://news.layervault.com/stories/17947-finally-real-feedback-on-dribbble
This is more "in your face", though :) Good idea.

ignorance is bliss
On another note. Interesting how there's a spelling mistake on this site on mobile devices only :) "Swtich between apps with taskbar"
Actually it looks like they've not only rearranged elements on mobile devices, but actually have rewritten the entire copy
