We are increasing the usage of [GatherContent] (https:// gathercontent.com) across a lot of our projects. We set up bi-lingual templates with character-restricted fields that work with the designs.

A simple workflow sees the content evolve from draft -> editing -> approval -> published/live. More complex workflows are developed if and when required. At certain times of the year we roll back the content to draft status for update and review.

Earlier this year we launched the new Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University website committing more fully to bilingual content, which has provided its own challenges.

With the website being hosted in China, we encountered issues with the previous website reportedly being slow and frequently inaccessible to international visitors. I'd be interested to hear about your experiences with the new website.

There's still some work to do, but we feel we've got a better platform to build on.
