Truth.
Although Sketch seems like the darling app for designers, I much prefer Affinity Designer. I've been using it almost exclusively for the last few months now, and find it be a superior product to sketch. It feels fast, the tools are great, the UI seems more grown up, it's been useful for both print and web.
This may be because it works better with my workflow, and I'm more familiar with withe shortcuts, while in sketch I'm constantly help up by little things. They are very active in their forum if you need help or can't find something, and also iterate quickly on user feedback.
I didn't know they had a free trial after the beta expired, but I found one yesterday after checking out the photo app: https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/designer/trial/

It's, to me, kind of like a combination of ffffound and twitter.

If you don't need a database or anything crazy you could try using Grunt **. It's great cause you can run a local server, use typekit for webfonts, and also incorporate SASS. I've been using it lately for quick prototyping and small sites.
Chris Coyier did a nice little walkthrough
I spun up a quick repo https://github.com/savagecorp/grunt_baseplate that I've been using lately that integrates Cardinal for a basic reset, includes SCSS setup, and an image optimizer.
** If you do need a database I believe you can use Yeoman & Bower along side Grunt in a Node framework.
