I think you misunderstand his point. If you have to justify your right to privacy then it isn't a right, it's a conditional privilege. That doesn't mean anyone's forcing you to care about privacy. It just means that, should you one day care about it, it should be easily available you you.

He used the service to broadcast information to the public, not protect his privacy. He used the right tool for the task.
