I recently finished 100 for 100, an email newsletter turned book:
And now I've started Shape.Cool, a podcast on the stories and cultures behind designers. Here are the first two episodes:
Nice to see someone else using Apaxy!
This is wonderful to see because you can tell Frank Chimero was really putting into practice what he'd been processing in writing The Web's Grain.
Titling is hard work! I appreciate such a graceful response.
Not trying to be a jerk here, but in the post you claim that your team "totally bought into the core concepts" and that you're not saying "Atomic Design is flawed," so I really wish you would've titled your post "How We Adapted Atomic Design" instead of making an inaccurate and provocative title.
I freelanced through college and wrote an in depth guide on it, you might find it helpful: http://tothepointguide.com

Best $20 I've ever spent! Responsible for probably around half of all my clients, all of which came through the "hire me" button. Usually more solid than opportunities that come through my website.
I went from only having my email listed to having a contact form and email listed, and 90% (that's approximate) of work inquiries came in via the contact form which I was really surprised about.
So from my experience I'd highly recommend a form, it seems to be the preferred method. Although I couldn't say if I got more inquiries after the contact form was put up – probably a few more less serious ones.
My coworker and I were having a discussion about culture in the role of industrial design. Her undergrad was in ID and she grew up in Asia (as did I).
We couldn't exactly figure out why, but we both agreed that you could feel the heart/humanness in Asian ID that created a special connection with the object and gave it value, whereas American ID seemed to lack the same feeling of care placed into its creation.
Sweeping generalizations and broad view, but I thought it was interesting we felt the same way and I'm curious as to if there's any kind of logic behind it or if it's more based on where we grew up.
