Posted to Everyone is a UX Designer - and Why I Hate the Term, Oct 28, 2015 I think this is still a good discussion to be had because there is still a lot of confusion surrounding the term "UX Designer". Personally, I don't care for the term UX Designer, I think it has become such a confusing catch-all with varying defined expectations depending on who you talk to. I would much prefer the usage of other existing roles (Information Architect, UI Designer, Frontend Developer) and adding expectations or requirements to the job description (Prototyping, Creating personas, Designing low/high fidelity mockups, etc).
