I didn't find the vague suggestions in this article very helpful.
Here's a few other resources that describe effective file optimization techniques:

It's not perfect for your problem, but you can export your 'Managed' plugins from Sketchpacks. It at least saves the headache of remembering your list.
I'm unsure of your particular issue, outside of having small performance snags here and there on larger projects.
Abstract's community is usually pretty good about identifying issues like this, and their support team is reasonably quick to respond.
My own Abstract application folder (at Library/Application Support/Abstract) is 45GB in file size. The biggest culprits are Documents at 28GB, and repos at 14GB.
Yes - so much so that our team no longer uses Craft. Always seems to get more in the way than is actually helpful.
Oh wow! Missed that. Well I hope they play this license issue smart.

This is a great write-up! We've been advancing our own design system by relying on spacing between items as a guideline, Anima has made it way easier to define paddings and margins. The plugin you guys developed helps to make that system a lot more manageable. Well done!
What a great project! Love that you actually took the time to delve this deep into products to showcase them.

A personal holdup of the move to Figma are powerful plugins, like Anima Autolayout, or Sketch Automate. Other features that are native to sketch (such as natively moving layers based on auto-text width, etc) haven't come to Figma yet.
Were you a power user of these features before the move? Do you miss them? Is the trade off of design accessibility worth losing a couple design features?
