Posted to Branding Gemini: The First United States Bitcoin Exchange, in reply to Andrew Conn , Jan 27, 2015 There's also been a ton of work to 'bring bitcoin out of the darkness,' including terrific design work being done at Coinbase, CoinJar, Circle, etc.
At this point it seems like if one of the stated design goals on a bitcoin project is to 'bring it out of the darkness,' then you're really trying to solve a problem that's already being solved.

Posted to Why you should submit a proposal to CSSConf Australia, Jan 27, 2015 Ben's pretty much summed it up. CSSConf last year was incredible. To be honest, this year looks so amazing I'm beginning to regret being on the organising committee instead of putting in a talk of my own.

Posted to Pixelapse is joining Dropbox, Jan 27, 2015 This is going to be pure speculation, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was an acquihire based on the work Pixelapse did on reading different file formats and versioning them.
Pixelapse wasn't a fully formed product, but I'd bet that what you see integrated into Dropbox is the ability to read these formats well, and that's pretty much it. I think it's unlikely they'd create a dedicated Dropbox feature set that caters to designers and creatives.
