Hold down OPT when you click pathfinders merge button. It will make those shapes into a compound path while still allowing you to edit and move those shapes separately. Game changer.

How did you land your Full-time Remote gig?, May 30, 2017 I was finishing up my BA in graphic design at Portland State (PDX) when I landed my first salaried job with an agency (going on 2 years now). My program is run by some pretty rad design celebs so their connections to the design community was very valuable in finding me a job straight out of school. Didn't apply to a single place and I was fortunate enough to get interviews with a few companies before deciding on one.
So my advice would be to connect with anyone and everyone in the industry, ask them questions, be friendly, know how to talk about your work and problem solving. Basically just show that you are a hard working and friendly person and the rest should speak for itself.

Posted to Where are all the DN Illustrators?, Dec 07, 2016 Posted to What's your 'other' creative outlet?, Nov 30, 2016 I started making mixes a couple years ago. Just collected a ton of music from Soundcloud, popped them into Ableton, and learned a little about the art of mixing so that I could layer songs into each other to make a nice fluid mix of music.
Eventually I got an affordable dj mixer and started djing at parties and stuff. Now I've started producing my own music and it has just been a fun experience learning more about music theory and beat production.
