Great - are you going to do a post about it, i'd love to read how you tackled it…
Aww.. I loved that app! It pretty much taught me CSS. It was great to see changes visually as you edited properties on the right hand side. But that was back in the days before the 'inspect element' tool got really smart.
Nice. I have rid my personal macs of all Adobe Software except Lightroom which i use to edit my photos en masse and then save the good jpgs to my Photos/iCloud Library.
On my work macs however, I still have to use Adobe stuff as I work as part of a team in an agency. And we have legacy files to take care of as well as suppliers that require certain files.
Funnily enough even though there is no competitor to Indesign, that's probably the easiest to replace as most printers just want PDF files.
I use Sketch as I'm the primary web designer. I have had a lot of issues getting my designs to larger agencies that are building the designs as they have requested layered PNGS or PSDS. So that's been a ball ache.
As for illustrator. I'm not sure I could design logos in anything else. I know it like the back of my hand. But i am yet to try affinity designer… so that could change. I could use Sketch for logo design but, it's not quite there for that. Simple logos, sure, but for full on logos that require brand guidelines and spot colours etc. it is not the right choice.
I use Yeoman and the yeoPress generator as well as This to generate and work on themes.
Lovely design. And a real break for the 'norm' in web design right now.
Refreshing, although it is quite a classic print design / structure.
Cool - yeah it's definitely worth checking out. And the templates are easy to modify too. Like i said - if you sign up with that link - I might be able to extend your 14 day free trial period a little bit? Also give me a shout if you need anything via twitter: @chrisedmo
I prefer the old homepage for visual aesthetics. Love the typography on the new one. But the home page feels a bit lop sided. It looks like something is missing. The footer is the biggest part of that page.
And the green pulls the eye way too much. Especially away from the main two offerings the site gives.
The rest of the site is much better. In fact yeah - the rest of the site rocks. I guess homepage's are a bit dead now.

I've used Craft for a couple of years now and for me it's the best CMS I've used. If you proficient in twig then it's a no-brainer.
I'm working on my new site (finally) and it's so good to be able to have complete control over my layouts. Craft has a thing called Matrix Block which are repeatable blocks essentially. Which are great for making 'content builders', or alternating layouts for your 'portfolio' pages.
Have a look here for how to set it up and use it… https://nystudio107.com/blog/creating-a-content-builder-in-craft-cms
Download it have a play. You wont look back! And join the slack channel - the Craft community are great!
