How is this directory "curated?" It's like 99% dudes.

Very clean. I generally don't use these because I work mainly with enterprise tools, but I think this style is subdued enough where it can provide enough context for the medium that the design is intended, without distracting from the actual UI.

I agree with Oz, in that I would expect a senior designer to be more focused on: strategy, long-term goals, and communication. Senior designers are able to get alignment on vision for a product or site across from different stakeholders, and are able to illustrate what that vision looks like in the short- vs. long-term.

Nice write-up on your process, Jessica. I especially appreciate that you described both an intro to your brand strategy as well as the more tactical and implementation aspects.

Every other response here is from a man. You mad I interrupted the "Diversity. PISH!" circle jerk you got going on in the post? You and Matt are just two more men on the internet that feel they have to correct every woman's opinion. It's all so predictable and boring. GOOD DAY, SIR.

  • Posted to Stop Talking and Start Sketching: A Guide to Paper Prototyping, Feb 24, 2017

Sell me on paper prototyping. Every once in a while I'll see some hype around it. I've also tried it a couple times, and while I'm a big fan of sketching ideas and working through problems on paper first, when it comes to prototyping and testing the prototypes, it's way more work to do it with paper. It's also harder for users to understand because not only is it a fake UI, but it's also a fake UI on a different medium So, apart from the novelty, what are the gains?
