There are almost 7 billion people in the world who are all fighting for security and wealth. Some of these individuals are better off than others creating a competitive advantage via capitalism and social status. Is it a tech companies responsibility to address this issue? Is it an individuals responsibility to make sure they have an edge in the market? Should the government step in and help when disruption happens?

These are all lenses different people are using to look at the same problems: overpopulation and inequality.

My point is that the communication implies that ALL the best freelancers are available on this site. This is however, not the case because the top 3% of the best freelancers in the world don't need this service and are not represented in their portfolio of designers. So already you are starting with a group of people who are not in the top 3% (what does that mean anyways?). They can only vet the designers who go through the application process. Who knows how that group stacks against the rest of the world! IMHO its probably not the top 3%.

To be completely transparent, its more like the top 3% of designers who apply... I think the value prop is a bit misleading.

AHHH What you MEAN to say is "free up your mind to solve the product and experience problems by leveraging visual design systems". Totally agree with this! I used to agonize over the wrong details and it was supremely inefficient.

It's just a summary of someone's research project people, calm down...

Yeah... UX and Usability really makes it seem like you're focusing on the app itself. Landing pages are really more visual and marketing/strategy focused. The title is inherently misleading.

While I get the gist of the article, I would disagree that a redesign is "a random drop" on the landscape. There are often times when designers take a rather intuitive and blind approach to a radical redesign, and you are correct in saying this is a short sighted approach. What happens when you have a ton of research to back it up? That is a redesign with a much better idea of where the global maximums could be, thus reducing risk. Agencies do this all the time and they are often very successful in their results. This is why companies like IDEO are so successful. Due diligence and process demystifies the landscape and sets you up for success.

Ohh man so valid, however, this really just is the tip of the iceberg. If you think about the stuff IN the navigation, not just where its located the meaning associated with the organizational models is gobledygook. For example, what is "home" How is this meaningful to me? How am I supposed to relate to a bucket of features that don't really help me ground myself in the listening experience? I could go on and on and on....

The "material" metaphors are out of control in this document!!!!! This sheet or surface can be on top of that sheet or material unless the material becomes a sheet or the surface changes materials.
